Why Do We Need Netiquette?
We need netiquette because it is very hard to be able to sense human feelings and emotion online. Even if you use a plethora of emojis and explanation points, it is still hard to be able to read another person's expression online. Sometimes even when we think we are responding in an appropriate manner, it can be taken out of context and misconstrued. Check out a few misinterpreted messages below!

A Few Things to Think About!
Netiquette is also how your online profile looks to an employer, friend, or family member. When you post something online, you are leaving a "digital footprint". When you post something on the internet, it stays somewhere on the internet forever, so it is important to really think about what you put out there. If you have never attempted, take a minute to "Google" yourself. Hopefully you find only good things!
Be Yourself
When posting online and maintaining a healthy netiquette it is always best to be yourself. The profiles and conversations you have online should reflect who you are as a unique individual. There is no sense trying to copy a social media influencers if that is not who you are. Do NOT let anyone Dull your Sparkle!
