How Do I Manage My Emotions?

  1. Pause

    1. Say the alphabet

    2. Count to 25 or 100

  2. Acknowledge your feelings

    1. Are you mad or angry with someone?

    2. Are you sad because someone said something mean to you?

      1. It is OKAY and Normal to feel this way

  3. Think

    1. After acknowledging your feelings, what can you do to feel better?

  4. Take Action

    1. What can you do to feel positive emotions?

  • Drink Water

  • Have a healthy meal or snack

  • Take a shower/bath

  • Sleep or take a nap

Process Feelings

  • Draw how you are feeling

  • Write your feelings

  • Make a gratitude list

  • Rip paper into tiny pieces
